Portsmouth native son and entrepreneur Paul J Battle is seeking to earn a seat on the Portsmouth City Council in the November 2018 election.  Paul loves Portsmouth and the people who make up of the great city of Portsmouth.

Paul Battle has a solid record of accomplishments and a strong desire to build a brighter tomorrow and move Portsmouth in the right direction.

Paul was a member of the committee which wrote the “Hope 6 Grant”, obtaining an award for the city of Portsmouth in the amount of $26,000,000

He was also a member of the committee that developed matching funds for the 2010 grant which awarded $5,000,000 to the cities of Norfolk and Portsmouth budgets.

His efforts in creating the “Drug Elimination Grant” successfully added 15 additional police officers to Portsmouth Police Department and he wrote the first grant to establish the “Department of Behavioral Healthcare Services”.

Paul is focused on what counts…the people and his passion to help people is what propels him to run for office.
